Along with "Entourage" and the Scorsese co-produced "Boardwalk Empire", here's another Wahlberg/Levinson project that isn't that well known: "How to Make it in America".
The story goes like this: two twenty-somethings, Ben and Luc, try to hit it big in the New York fashion world, using their (legal and semi-legal) connections and street smarts. It has a lot of common elements with "Entourage", only more on the urban/street side. We love Louis Guzman (who also appeared in "Carlito's Way") as a gangster that found Jesus, trying to stay on the right track. And although, he keeps standing in Ben and Luc's way, you end up liking him. Seriously, what's not to love:
PS: We find Mark Wahlberg's evolution from rude boy in CK briefs to successful producer and Oscar nominated actor, very interesting. Should anyone want to read some more, here's a good Vanity Fair article: Boardwalk Bromance.
